Flad Architects. Mark was the Project Manager and Senior Designer for this 945,000 square foot academic and research building. The feasibility study, completed September 2001, included a complete analysis of the existing building, program data projected to the year 2010, and a full conceptual design. The existing building of 660,000 gross square feet will be supplemented by a 284,000 gross square foot addition. The facility will house several academic departments, including chemistry, biology, and physics. Faculty offices will be supported by reception areas, conference rooms, and break areas. The building will also house the College's athletics department and science library, along with a variety of areas designed to promote student/faculty interaction. The project is currently on hold.
