The memorial is located in a park by the side of the Susquehanna River. On the river side of the memorial, the ground is dished slightly, and contains stone slabs to mark fallen victims of the Holocaust. A bronze casting stands above the slabs; the side facing the street is etched with a time line of this tragic and horrible chapter in history, while the side facing the river calls forth its ghosts. Beside a pool that runs to the river is the inscription “Who will give us water to wash the dead?”.
